You Can Still Participate in the WPC Scientific Poster Competition

Researchers, universities, technology centres, and industry professionals have until 15 November 2026 to submit their proposals and take part in the first edition of the World Pistachio Congress.

The World Pistachio Congress (WPC) Scientific Poster Competition continues to accept submissions from researchers and professionals interested in presenting their work at the first international congress dedicated exclusively to the pistachio sector.

Research, innovation, and knowledge transfer will play a central role in the congress programme, bringing together experts from around the world in Toledo to discuss the main challenges and opportunities facing this strategic crop.

The call for submissions will remain open until 15 November 2026, the deadline for abstract submission. Afterwards, the Congress Scientific Committee will evaluate all proposals and notify the authors of the selected posters before 20 December 2026.

The competition welcomes research covering any stage of the pistachio value chain, including production, crop management, sustainability, quality, processing, innovation, health, and consumption.

Accepted posters will be displayed in a digital format throughout the congress via interactive screens, providing excellent visibility among researchers, companies, technicians, and professionals from the world's leading pistachio-producing and consuming countries.

In addition, the Scientific Committee will select the two best posters, whose authors will have the opportunity to present and defend their work during the scientific sessions of the World Pistachio Congress.

An Opportunity to Showcase Your Research
Through this initiative, the World Pistachio Congress reaffirms its commitment to scientific dissemination and knowledge exchange as key drivers of innovation and competitiveness across the pistachio sector.

The congress aims to become the leading international meeting point for the global pistachio industry, bringing together researchers, growers, companies, institutions, and professionals around a high-level scientific and technical programme.

Those interested can consult the competition guidelines and find full participation details on the official World Pistachio Congress website. The Technical Secretariat is also available to answer any questions regarding the submission process.
